Asteroid Heading To Earth

NASA reported that a two-mile massive asteroid safely passed the earth last Saturday,10th of October and they are carefully observing another asteroid 86666 (2000FL10) which will be one of the biggest planetary objects that can come close to our planet.

Watch a simulation of an asteroid impact on the earth.

It’s travelling with a speed of 40K miles per hour and estimated size between 0.7 to 1.6 miles in radius. If by chance it hit our planet, the impact will cause tsunamis, explosions and climate change, eventually ending the human race.

Remember what happened 65 million years ago? An asteroid measured 10 kilometers (6 miles) collided off to Yucatan Peninsula, in Mexico change everything. The dust from impact covered the earth and blocked the sunlight and cooled the earth and end any living creatures back then.

Experts warned that there are thousands Potentially Dangerous Asteroids which have not been identified which could ”destroy life”.

Another asteroid 1950 DA which became famous last 2002 when astronomers estimated it had a one in 300 chance of colliding on 16 March 2880 but later revised to 1 to 4,000. The asteroid’s diameter is 1 kilometre and will hit at 38,000 miles per hour. Its impact is 44,800 megatonnes of TNT ending another human race. As of 19 August 2014, the probability of an impact in 2880 is 1 in 20,000 (0.005%).

While the collision will not happen in the near future, scientist and astronomers begin studying methods called Asteroid Impact Avoidance to divert these near-planet-object into other directions

In another story, a man-made junk space debris with a nickname “WTF“, dating back to the Apollo mission is on set and will hit Earth on November 13 at about 6:15 am. It estimated to have a 2 meter in diameters a will directly fall near the Indian Ocean.
